Nathaniel volunteers to pick her up because he believed in Elisabeth's innocence.ĭuring the trip, Elisabeth gets closer to Silas and Nathaniel despite not trusting them at first.
Finch puts her in a dungeon cell and tells her that she is to be trialed by the Magisterium. However, she is accused by Warden Finch of turning the Book of Eyes into a Malefict on purpose and killing Director Irena. Elisabeth takes up her tutor's sword and battles the Malefict until she slays it. She gets up from her bed and walks around Summershall to find that the book of eyes has transformed into a Malefict and that Director Irena lay dead on the floor. She hides behind a library to spy on him but is discovered by said magister, who turns out to be Nathaniel Thorn.Īfter one year, Elisabeth feels a change in the library one night.
